- On certain Ram 2500, 3500, and 4000 series trucks, the original equipment steering drag link has an adjustment sleeve with jam nuts that can loosen and cause the link to separate from the adjuster sleeve, potentially resulting in a loss of steering control. The dealer repair for this issue is to weld the factory nuts to the adjuster sleeve, which makes future adjustments difficult and time-consuming.
