Instead of an oil column, this advanced lift support utilizes a longitudinal groove, called a velocity manifold, pressed into the tube wall. This design allows gas to flow around the piston, with the groove’s depth and geometry precisely controlling extension speed to match specific application requirements. Innovative Temperature Compensation: The Lift-O-Mat includes a Temperature Compensating Valve (TCV) inside the tube, managed by a temperature-sensitive bi-metal valve. This valve adjusts gas force based on environmental conditions: in cold weather, it allows extra gas force for enhanced performance, while in warm conditions, it locks away excess force for stability. Smooth, Reliable Operation: The expertly crafted groove gradually narrows toward the end of the stroke, providing a gentle, controlled stop with minimal impact.
